Give me one moment in time...

My kids and I went outside yesterday to enjoy the relatively nice weather.  I sat in a lawn chair snuggling my bundled babe while watching the older children frolic in mounds of snow.  For one brief moment, all was right in the world.

My husband came from the house into the garage and said, "I'm going to shut this garage door for a minute so I can get the christmas tree stuff down and put away..."

"Okay," I responded, but he wasn't done speaking.

"...and so I can get some peace and quiet around here!"

The garage door slowly lowered over his haughty smirk, and when it shut, he yelled, "Finally!  A man can think!  That woman just won't stop yapping!"

Moment destroyed.

Men destroy lovely moments all the time. They are The Destroyers of Moments.

Aren't you lucky you live in the age of blogs, so you can know that many people really appreciate your yapping?

Yapping??? Who raised that boy???

I love your comments. All the time. Verbal and written. Yup. I love your children, too. I'll think about that husband of yours...

P.S. You can't use pain medication because your husband uses it all.. AND re-gifting is okay. If you never wear jewelry, just give that nice black necklace to your mother-in-law. I hear she has no scruples...

He did that to me once. I didn't have the heart to tell him that the voices were inside his head and that he was... well, you know.

He said, and I quote, "I'll get him."

Clueless-

Did I say I wouldn't wear jewelry? I meant BUY jewelry. I'll wear anything that is free!
