I did not buy my husband a birthday cake.
I did not throw my husband a birthday party.
I did not sing, "Happy Birthday" to my husband.
So what did I do for my husband on his birthday?
I logged into his e-mail account and sent e-mails to his family, friends, and co-workers saying, "Guess what! It's my birthday!" and "Aren't you going to call and wish me a happy birthday?"
His friends were all very accommodating.

You are a funny wife. :)
When I told my husband about my second pregnancy, I did it through his co-workers. I called them and asked for them to shower him with congratulations until he finally "got" it. (He knew I was going in for a blood test, so I didn't think it would take long to figure out.)
Being men, they congratulated him on being such a great "swimmer", and it took six hours and him nearly punching a guy out before they broke down and gave him the news.
I never thought about doing it for a birthday, though, and his IS coming up in April... :)
You are so funny.
My husband was on a different continent from us for his birthday, but I still baked him a birthday cake, and my girls and I ate it in his honor.
Thank you for the laugh. I have loved your blog and look forward to each post. You are not a mean wife, it has to beat the present I gave my husband last year...strep throat. Thank you for your clever and witty sense of humor!
That is such a great present and it is free!
well, i'm a little sad that i'm not on (token asian friend husbands) email list of friends, co-workers, or family! happy birthday!
Sounds like an awesome birthday present, he, he! I might have to use that idea for someone I know...
