While stopped at a stoplight on a busy street, my husband glanced out his window. "Well, they certainly like purple," he said. I looked and saw a group of women dressed in different outfits, but all wearing purple.
"You don't want to say that too loud," I mentioned. "The sunroof is open."
Still looking out his own window, he yelled, "WELL, THEY CERTAINLY LIKE PURPLE!"
Then turned to me, looked at my purple shirt, and said, "MAYBE YOU SHOULD WALK WITH THEM!"

Were they of a certain age and wearing red hats?
Nope, they were a family of beautiful women, and they rocked the heck out of the color purple!
your title implied that your smacking of the husband is habitual. is this just an anecdote of your husband in a nutshell?
I really would like to meet your husband! He seems like a goofball. Just the kind of person I hung out with high school. i still haven't grown up, but it seems like most people have!
I think smacking him around every now and again is a good thing :) Brian yelled once "Hurry it up old lady!" before he realized the window was rolled down. I think he still has a bruise on his arm.
