Uphill, Both Ways.

What you grew up hearing:  

"Back when I was a child, I had to walk to school, uphill, both ways, in a blizzard, with no shoes on!"

What I grew up hearing:  

"Back when I was a child, I had ride home from school on a make-shift row boat, in a typhoon!"

The difference is, the story I heard was true.
