As my oldest was pouring cereal for the younger siblings, I jokingly mentioned to them how comforted I was to know that the oldest could take care of the others if anything happened to their mommy and daddy.
At which point, the eldest child turns to the others and says, "OK, guys, we are having cereal for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and dinner after mom and dad die."

HA HA HA!!! Isn't it nice to know you'd be missed? And that your little ones would be so well taken care of! My #2 especially likes to play that her mom has died. I try to tell myself she's just flexing her independence muscles, not wishing me away.
At our house that would mean nothing had changed . . .
Whole grain and reduced fat?
Actually Pam, yes, please :)
My imaginary Blog, I was thinking that's how it would be if it were just me out of the picture. My husband isn't much of a cook. He considers making tuna fish sandwiches "cooking."
Kellebelle, my husband laughed at your comment. So did I :)
sounds like a pragmatic little one
