I've had that same problem, but I tan very slowly. I don't have that pronounced a tan line until the end of summer. Looks like you'll have to spend some time outside barefoot...
I used to work as a lifeguard in the summer. Every year we all started out with comfortable, colorful flip-flops. Without fail, a couple months in everyone's flip-flop choice became determined solely on how cool or unique the resulting tan lines would be. Awesome is right!
on a river trip last summer I overheard some of the teenagers comparing tan lines on their feet. I was pretty proud of my quite pronounced lines and showed them the "z" from my chacos. I believe it was the first and last time they thought I was cool. I am yearning for the opportunity to give myself some nice tan lines on my feet.
P.S. I tried to link to your post about P.F. Chang's from my blog, but I couldn't get it to work. But it made me wonder ... when you want to go out for Asian food, where's your restaurant of choice?

Lucky you (about tanning well.) My two oldest tan beautifully, which must be a trait that skipped a generation since my husband and I both burn.
Token Asian Friend: "I tan well"
... yeah, yeah, rub it in. ;D
