Rough Day

Today was a rough day for one of my kids.

And, today will be a rough day for one of my kids.

Hmm, any chance you can pull out the toy doctor's kit and salvage the doll by caring for her, um, measles?? (I don't know my diseases very well, just thinking something with a nice red rash!)

Bummer.

Hows about a sharpie on an American Girl Doll. May I just say, my voice was hoarse when I was finished with that episode. However, the Mr. Clean magic erase thingy did the job, gratefully. And my child and her friend (friend was the actual perp) are both still living.

Have you tried a "Magic Eraser"? Those have worked pretty well on just about everything for me. You should still give one of your kids a rough day though.

Sorry, Karin suggested it too. That's what I get for not reading the other comments first!

Thanks for the magic eraser idea. I think I will do that, AFTER I make this child carry the baby doll everywhere and see people's reaction so that the lesson is learned: baby dolls that look like they have infected open wounds are not cute.

Sad! It looks like she has road rash. Maybe she's a motorcycle diva who doesn't wear a helmet in her spare time. But on the other hand, yay for the tooth fairy!

We recently had an orange crayon go through the dryer and melt on a whole load of light colored clothing. Magic eraser couldn't do a thing for that. Good luck.

Sounds like you also had a rough day.

Magic eraser does NOT work on old marker on a doll, because the ink soaks into the plastic. It doesn't even work to take an emery board to the marked spots.

Hopefully Magic Eraser *will* work on newish crayon marks.
