In the past year, my husband has had three caricatures made for him.
This one is from the state fair. The artist makes my son looks very snooty. Let's just say he was more interested in drinking that 36 oz. soda than he was in posing for a picture. The artist was able to capture correctly my son's attitude, my husband's smile, eyes, eyebrows, and hairline. The nose and the chin are a little off.
This artist was able to capture his lips, forehead, hairline, and posture correctly. Maybe the ears, too :)
This artist was good at capturing my husband's jaw line, hair line, and nose. My husband got along with this artist, and was able to get him to do a few more for our family by using their photographs. He brought them home and gave the stack to me, and I slowly gazed at each picture.
Doesn't the artist make them look so sweet and beautiful?
Such flattering interpretations of my children.
Then, I drew out this beauty:
Well, he got the hair and the neck right.

Ahhh a new FB profile picture! :)
Ha Ha! Except that's not really me, although when I first looked at it, I thought it was! It is my husband's co-worker, a guy from Hong-Kong with dread locks. It could have easily been me, though :)
You have such a great sense of humor! But rest assured that doesn't look at all like you. I'm glad to know it was actually someone else, because I was looking at it struggling to see any connections.
I was having a hard time believing they were done by the same artist. That is funny, though.
Fear of seeing how I'd look in caricature has been just one of the many good reasons to keep me from ever running for public office.
